Wood-Fired Pizza at Milkflower

After a stressful day at work, a good friend and I needed something tasty and comforting for dinner. Pizza! We decided to go to Milkflower in my neighborhood, Astoria, in Queens.

My friend and I ordered two of our favorite pizzas to share. The first one is the Kale.

This delectable pizza is topped with kale, garlic, goat cheese, cherry tomatoes and chili flakes. Even though the kale was cooked in the wood fire, I could still taste its freshness. The tangy flavor from the goat cheese and hint of heat from the chili flakes together were incredible.

The second one is the Spicy Soppressata, a popular favorite among many, and it’s without question.

This mouthwatering pizza is topped with tomatoes, mozzarella, spicy soppressata, red chili flakes and honey. There were so many different flavors flying through my mouth from savory, spicy to sweet. I wasn’t able to describe how it tasted until the second piece because I was eating the first one too quickly. My stomach was screaming for more of this pizza!

When friends visit me and Hubby in our neighborhood, we always bring them to Milkflower. It’s a great place to talk and spend quality time with friends over a delicious meal. We also enjoy the rustic, communal ambiance that makes us feel like home.
