One-Pan Alaskan Halibut and Veggies

As a Foodie and Runner, my post-workout meals have to be delicious while giving me the necessary nutrients to stay healthy and recover efficiently.

I’ve cooked and tried a wide range of recipes. One meal that I tried which stood out the most this year and have cooked repeatedly is Tasty’s “One-Pan Salmon and Veggies.” I adapted this recipe with my favorite type of fish, Alaskan Halibut, and followed the recipe accordingly by doubling the serving size. Not only was this easy and fast to make but also delicious and healthy with a balance of carbs, protein and veg as well as use of whole foods.

Many Treasures of Tasty Pot

Married to a Taiwanese guy, I discovered the fun and deliciousness of Hot Pot. So when Hubby told me that we would be going out with our Taiwanese couple friends for Hot Pot, I expected going to someone’s home for some fun, communal cooking. I even asked Hubby if we should drop by the Asian market to bring anything.  He laughed and said that we were going to a restaurant for Hot Pot and that this isn’t new to him but will be for me.

Goodies Galore at Shilin Night Market 

Happy 2017 from one of my favorites cities in the world: Taipei, the capital of Taiwan! Married to a Taiwanese man and family, I’ve learned and tried so much of this incredible cuisine over time. For tonight’s dinner and the tastiest food, we went to not a restaurant but hit the streets of the city to Shilin Night Market. Whenever I’m in Taipei, I always make a point to eat and enjoy as much as I can here.

Truite en Papillote for the Holidays 

With the holidays just around the corner, Hubby and I decided to host a dinner for our friends so we could all spend some quality time together before traveling for the season.

Among my group, we have several pescatarians.  As the designated chef, I decided to make Rachel Khoo’s Truite en Papillote. It was a big hit for both my friends with dietary restrictions and those that could eat anything. It was simple, yet delicious! The preparation was fun as my friends were my sous chefs, and Rachel’s recipe gives you room to be creative.
