Listed as one of the top cities with large Vietnamese-American populations in the U.S., Fairfax, Virginia has a handful of Vietnamese restaurants that make delicious, comfort dishes that we, Vietnamese, grew up eating and love.
Hubby and I went to Pho Duong for a dish that’s perfect on any cold day and a cure for all ailments: Pho.
The beef, cooked in the soup, with the basil, scallions and lime juice enhanced the flavor of the broth. The noodles were also cooked perfectly. Every time I took a slurp and savored a spoonful, I could not help but be reminded of the delicious bowls of Pho that I had in California.
This bowl of Pho really hits the spot and receives a standing ovation. It’s no wonder why so many family members of my Vietnamese friends in New York drive and spend a weekend to Virginia!
